What is this page about?
I started studying the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation in 1971, but found it quite hard to understand the prophetic concepts. I soon found that I clearly understood the prophecy if I drew it out in a chart. (I am very graphic oriented.) By 1978 I had finished (so I thought) with the study of Daniel and Revelation and had made 34 charts which helped me understand their basic meaning. On this page is an index to those charts explaining in graphic form what I had studied. Although I used many Bible Commentaries and books to aid in my study of Daniel and Revelation, the book The Prophecies of Daniel and Revelation by Uriah Smith is used on this website to explain the charts as it is the most complete and correct commentary I have read. The charts have hot-spots on them which are links to explanation in Uriah Smith’s book.
It is with great pleasure that my wife and I give these charts to you. (Matt 10:8; 1Cor 2:12) They are made to print on 8½ x 11 paper. It is our prayer that they will bless your study as they have blessed ours.
There is great need for prayer when studying the Testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit of prophecy. I once overheard a Bible teacher talking on the phone with an angry man who had watched one of his videos. The man was irate that the teacher would say such nonsense, such contradiction to the Bible. The teacher was patient and told the man on the other end of the phone line to please, —please pray, —earnestly, and then watch the video again. The man called back two days later and apologized for the things he thought he had heard. He thanked the teacher for the new thoughts and for the Biblical proof the teacher had used.
So we would also ask that you would pray for the guidance of the Spirit of God. There is an adversary who doesn’t want us to understand the working of Salvation in our lives. Without the Holy Spirit we would be lost! It is that simple!
Please understand that neither the charts nor any commentary written or used from other authors is set in concrete! We are all human, and misconceptions abound. We try our best to understand the kingdom of Heaven correctly, yet sometimes the best we can do falls short of understanding the prophecies correctly. But this one thing we know; —we have faith that the antitype prophetic events of the last days will be correctly understood, —most likely just before and while they are fulfilling before our eyes. These events are made for the building of our characters. So, we pray that these studies will bless and guide in better understanding the Testimony of Jesus, —the plan of salvation and Christ’s righteousness revealed to man. Only Jesus gives the correct understanding of His Testimony in every book of the Bible!
