~ Lesson #3 ~

God’s Blueprint
For Tomorrow

Download PDF of this page.

Billions of dollars are being spent each year by the nations of the world to reach the stars. Man seems bent upon leaving this world and reaching some other planet in the hope of finding a solution to the many problems that daily plague him.
Simply blasting out into space will not solve man’s problems. As long as the human heart is as selfish and sinful as it is, the taint of sin and violence will be present.
How then can man find the peace and security that he is so feverishly seeking? Is there no better tomorrow toward which we can look? Is there no place where the plague of sickness and death will be eliminated? Is there no place where we will never grow old, where we will live in perfect peace and happiness forever?
The Bible teaches that there is such a future and such a land which God has prepared for the faithful of all ages. This is the star of hope that has given faith and courage to God’s children down through the ages. This was the hope that gave the martyrs the courage to face wild animals, the promise that gave the discouraged the strength to press on, the vision that gave the grief-stricken the stamina to live another day.
From the day that Adam was driven forth from the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life, the faithful few have longed for the time when mankind would be restored to the fellowship that man had with his Maker. God, at the gates of the garden, promised that the dominion lost by Adam would someday be restored to man by the Saviour. Genesis 3:15.; Luke 19:10.
One of the last promises of the Lord was to remind the disciples of His plans to be reunited with them. Let us learn more about this wonderful city and country God has prepared for His children.

As you have read the descriptions given in God’s Word about this land and this city, you may have felt like Paul when he said, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." I Corinthians 2:9. What more could man desire to bring genuine joy and peace into his heart and life?
Several years ago a retired gentleman received a letter from his wealthy brother in Hawaii, inviting him to come and share his wealth. The wealthy brother had prepared a mansion for him. In the invitation the promise was made that all necessities would be provided and that they would live happily together in this tropical paradise until death. It is unnecessary to tell you how long it took the brother to accept this generous offer.
God has promised far more to us than any human could offer. He promises not only freedom from want, but freedom from sickness, fear, sorrow, and death. He has given us the assurance that His gifts will be ours if we by faith accept Christ as our Saviour and Redeemer.
If there were a land or island that could assure us of all these wonderful benefits, would we not be anxious to make any sacrifice to live there? God asks only one thing-a complete surrender of our hearts to Him. What better decision could we make than to let Jesus Christ completely control our lives today? If you wish to respond to this question, place a check in the square.

Is it your earnest desire to surrender your life and heart completely to Christ as your Saviour?
