Palmonee' asked—
“How long shall be the vision . . .”

Daniel 8 & 9 Foretells Last-day Events

Please note:  It is very important in this
portion of the study to understand that the
bottom-half of the Mirror Chart is covering the
events and times of the literal 2300 days,
i.e. during the fulfillment of the last-day events,
ending with the cleansing of forgiven sin
in the Heavenly Sanctuary by our High Priest —Christ.

    Who is Palmonee'?
Palmonee' is Jesus.  I don’t know about you, but it matters to me who is talking to whom in this vision. It matters to us who we believe Daniel sees giving the vision, who ask the question “How long,” and who is told to explain the vision to Daniel.

“by the river of Ulai” (Dan 8:2).

We find this name/discription used only in Daniel 8:13: “Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision . . .” (KJV)

By the first saint is meant a holy angel, by the other is meant Jesus Christ, Palmonee', a numberer or revealer of secrets, a wonderful revealer, Isa 9:6.

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision . . .

The first two uses of the word saint is qadowsh (Hebrew; see H6918 below); which in this case is used to describe the assisting angel Gabriel. See Dan 8:16 & 9:21.

The three uses of the words saint in the KJV doesn’t give the full picture of who is talking to whom. The meaning of the first saint is angel, in this case Gabriel. But the second use of the word saint is a supplied word. In the KJV the Hebrew word used to destinguish between those speaking is the word certain, which is Palmowniy.

I personally believe that this discription of Strong’s H6422; who is walking upon the river of time, Dan 8:16), will show that it is He that is “the wonderful Numberer” (or, “the Numberer of Secrets”, or “that has all secrets numbered”); and will show by His appointed time prophecies of the Sabbath and the seven Feasts that He is in control of the last-day events.

The explaination of who is speaking to whom in Daniel 8:13, 14—
is better understood by reading Daniel 8:16—
and also concidering Daniel 12:5-7—

Dan 8:13, 14:  “Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long . . .”
Dan 8:16:  “And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.”
Dan 12:5-7:  5 “Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.”

The following is research is for the Hebrew word Palmonee' and who was speaking to whom in Daniel’s visions, specificly here in Daniel 8:13, 14. The following text shows with superscripted numbers the Hebrew meaning of the words refering to who is speaking.

      “Then I heard one1 saint2 speaking, and another1 saint2 said unto that certain3 saint (supplied word) which spake, How long . . . And he said unto me . . .”  Dan 8:13, 14.

The Vision and the Prophecy. Daniel 9:2
Dan 9:24—
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and [to seal up the] prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”
Place commentary here as to what the difference is between “the vision” and “the prophecy”. And what is ment by “thy people” sealing them up?
